Step 1: Create a Customer Account
Before applying for wholesale, you need a standard WFA Gear customer account.
- Go to wfa-gear.myshopify.com
- Click the Account icon in the top navigation
- Select Create Account
- Enter your name, email address, and password
- Verify your email address via the confirmation link
This takes about two minutes. Your account is the foundation — the wholesale application is the next layer on top of it.
Step 2: Submit the Wholesale Application
Once your account is created and you're logged in:
- Navigate to B2B Wholesale in the main navigation (or go to /pages/wholesale)
- Click Apply for a Wholesale Account
- Fill out the application form with the following information:
Required fields:
- Organization name (team name, booster club name, or league name)
- Your role (Team Manager, Booster Club President, League Administrator, etc.)
- Estimated annual order volume (units per year)
- WFA team affiliation (which team or division you're associated with)
- Tax ID or EIN (required for wholesale pricing — a standard business requirement)
- Contact phone number
Optional but helpful:
- Notes about your ordering needs (custom sizing breakdowns, recurring orders, etc.)
- Whether you need invoicing rather than immediate payment
- Submit the form
Step 3: Wait for Approval (Usually 1–2 Business Days)
All wholesale applications are reviewed manually. This is by design — it lets us make sure the pricing structure is applied correctly and that we can serve your account properly from day one.
You'll receive an email when your application is approved. The email will confirm:
- Your assigned tier (Booster, Team, or Wholesale)
- Your discount percentage
- A link back to the store with instructions on how your pricing will appear
If your application requires any clarification, we'll email you directly rather than reject it. Most applications are straightforward and approved without back-and-forth.
Step 4: Log In and Verify Your Pricing
Once approved, log back into your account and browse any product. You'll notice that the price displayed is your tier price — not the standard retail price.
For example, if you're on the Team tier (20% off), the WFA Pro Game Jersey shows at $71.20 instead of the standard $89.00. That discount is automatically applied at checkout — there's no coupon code to enter.
This transparency is intentional. You should always know exactly what you're paying before you commit to an order.
Step 5: Place Your First Bulk Order Using the Order Pad
For orders of 10 or more items, we strongly recommend using the Bulk Order Pad rather than adding items one by one from product pages.
To access it:
- Log in to your wholesale account
- Go to B2B Wholesale → Bulk Order Pad in the navigation
- The pad shows a searchable product table with all available SKUs
- For each product, select the size, color, team variant, and quantity
- Add multiple line items at once — no page refreshes required
- When you're done building your order, click Add All to Cart
- Proceed through checkout normally
The bulk order pad is the fastest way to build a 30-player team order. What would take 45 minutes of clicking through individual product pages takes about 10 minutes here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I mix products across tiers? Yes. Your discount applies to your total order quantity, not per-product. An order of 10 jerseys + 10 hoodies + 5 caps = 25 units, which qualifies for the Team tier (20% off) if you're approved at that level.
What if my order sometimes goes above or below my tier minimum? Your tier is based on your account type, not each individual order. Once you're approved as a Team account, you get Team pricing on all orders regardless of whether a specific order hits 25 units.
Can I get invoiced rather than paying upfront? Invoice terms are available for established League/Wholesale accounts on a case-by-case basis. Note this in your application and we'll discuss options during the approval process.
Do wholesale prices apply during sale events? Wholesale pricing and promotional sale pricing don't stack. Whichever price is lower at the time of your order will be applied.
Can I place a sample order first at retail pricing? Absolutely. You can order as a standard retail customer at any time even after your wholesale account is active — just log out or use a different account. Some managers like to order one sample jersey to check sizing before committing to a full team order.
